How to use the Inta-Vir insecticide?

Many have heard of a popular chemical insecticide called Inta-Vir. The manufacturer is obliged to indicate the instructions for the drug and the dosage on the packaging - it would seem, what questions could there be? But gardeners should know that many drugs are produced under the Inta-Vir brand. They differ in the active substance, form of release, method and purpose of use.

From insect pests that threaten the garden and vegetable garden, "Inta-Vir" is used based on cypermethrin. It comes in the form of a water-soluble tablet. Consider all the features of the insecticide and touch on some other drugs of this brand.

Instructions for use

The manufacturer gives the following instructions for the insecticide:

1. For a standard 10 liter bucket of water, 1 tablet of the drug (8 g) is taken. To combat cockroaches, much less water is taken - 0.5 liters.
2. It is necessary to dilute it until it is completely dissolved (gloves are put on beforehand).
3. Then you can pour the liquid into a spray bottle and start processing the plants.

For the successful use of the drug, you should use the following tips:

• If the invasion of insects is too large and the desired effect does not occur for several days, during the secondary treatment it is allowed to increase the concentration by a factor of 2-3, that is, take not 1, but 2-3 tablets in a standard bucket of water (10 l).
• You can also use the product to protect indoor plants. Treatment is also carried out by spraying. Some growers recommend simply dipping the green part of the plant in water for 1–2 seconds. Work is carried out with gloves, glasses and a mask.

Security measures

Before and during processing, personal safety measures must be observed:

• Spraying is carried out only with gloves, a respirator and goggles.
• Special clothing should be worn, such as a disposable gown, which can then be thrown away.
• During processing, it is unacceptable to eat, drink, smoke and talk.
• Since the agent negatively affects the development of the human embryo, participation in the treatment of pregnant women is excluded.
• When preparing the solution, it is necessary to accurately calculate the dosage. The finished mixture cannot be stored. Its surplus is poured into sand or a specially designated place.
• After use, it is unacceptable to pour the solution into the sewage system and water bodies - the drug is dangerous for fish.

It is necessary to exclude the contact of the solution with the skin and even more with the eyes or inside. If it was not possible to avoid this, it is necessary to take first aid measures:

• wash the skin with water and soap;
• flush eyes with water for a long time (10-15 minutes);
• take 4-5 tablets of activated carbon and wash them down with water.

You should also carefully monitor the condition of the victim. In case of poisoning, the following symptoms may appear:

• weakness;
• involuntary collapse of the eyelids;
• drooping jaw;
• unsure gait;
• violation of spatial orientation.

All these signs indicate cypermethrin poisoning, which negatively affects the human nervous system. In such cases, you should consult a doctor as soon as possible and not self-medicate.

What could go wrong?

The effect of using the drug will not be maximal if you do not follow a few simple rules during processing:

• Spray plants only in the morning or evening hours, when there is no direct sunlight.
• Do not process in rain or windy conditions.

Inta-Vir can be called a universal insecticide, as it helps to cope with most pests of agricultural crops. On the other hand, it is a rather dangerous agent for both humans and animals, including beneficial insects. Therefore, it must be applied strictly according to the instructions.
