Experienced summer residents know that with a massive defeat of plantings with these diseases, without the help of a quality drug, you can lose a large percentage of the crop.

In comparison with other fungicides "Ordan" allows long intervals between treatments.

Composition

The Ordan consists of two components, the combined action of which provides quick results and long-term protection:

  • Copper oxychloride - antifungal agent. It settles on the leaves, preventing the penetration of spores, thereby depriving the fungus of nutrients and causing its early death.
  • Cymoxanil - penetrates into plant tissues and neutralizes fungal spores, begins to act an hour after application.

The version of the drug "Ordan MC" intended for industrial scale has 2 class of toxicity. Instead of oxychloride, the composition includes the substance mancozeb, and the concentration of cymoxanil is increased. The SP version is recommended for use in private household plots.

When to process?

The effectiveness of the fungicide depends on when the crops are treated:

  • The potatoes are sprayed early in the growing season, before the tops close in the rows. Repeated treatment - in 1–2 weeks.
  • Tomatoes and cucumbers are cultivated for the first time at the stage of 4-6 true leaves. Spraying is repeated at intervals of 7-10 days.
  • The grapes are processed in the spring before flowering at intervals of 1-2 weeks.
  • Preventive treatment of conifers is carried out in spring and autumn.

For the complete destruction of the pathogen, it is recommended to carry out 3 treatments with "Ordan" per season. In extreme cases, when bad weather conditions interfere with recovery, the number of sprays can be increased to 5. The last treatment is carried out no later than 5 days before harvest, but it is better to leave at least 20 days in stock.

Security measures

As with other pesticides, they work with Ordan strictly in a protective suit. When spraying, there is a risk of small fungicide particles entering the mouth. Even a single drop can cause severe poisoning, therefore it is forbidden to smoke, eat or drink during work. After spraying, wash the suit, wash your hands and face with soap.

Keep children and animals away from the area during processing!

By these signs, you can understand that you have been poisoned by the "Ordan":

  • nausea;
  • vomiting;
  • dizziness;
  • burns to the skin or mucous membranes.

If these symptoms appear, you need to call a doctor. Leave the processing area, breathe fresh air. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. If inhaled and swallowed, it is recommended to take a sorbent and induce vomiting.

The use of "Ordan" near apiaries and water protection areas is prohibited. The fungicide is toxic to bees and fish. Flowering crops that are pollinated by beneficial insects cannot be treated.

Disposal of packaging: incinerate in a specially designated place.

Storage recommendations:

  • In a dark place. Sunlight destroys active substances.
  • The shelf life of a closed pack is 3 years. After the expiration of the period, use is not recommended due to the loss of effectiveness.
  • The ready-made solution cannot be stored, it must be used on the day of preparation, and the remains must be disposed of.

What could go wrong?

Common mistakes of summer residents when working with fungicide:

  • Violation of the proportions of the solution. In a lower concentration of DV, cymoxanil does not work, and the drug is alkaline.
  • When mixed with other preparations, a flake-like precipitate may form. This indicates the incompatibility of the substances. If no sediment has formed 3 hours after mixing, the products are compatible.

Fungal infections spread rapidly, and if you do not respond in time, the cultures grow poorly, lose ovaries, and wither.Many summer residents have adapted to use Ordan fungicide as a preventive measure in the spring, saving their plantings from possible infection. A wide spectrum of action, low toxicity while observing safety measures and ease of use make the drug one of the most popular among both beginners and experienced gardeners.
